About the Event
Apollo Rising Runs are held at Apollo Park off of Ave G North of Lancaster. They are designed to allow you to get whatever kind of workout you need (well, other than hills... ) Arrive when you want, run as far and as fast as you want. Try to time your workout so that you END at about 9 am. Then we can hang out and chat for a bit before heading home for the rest of your day. The park is a one mile loop and it is very flat. We recommend you alternate directions from time to time so you will see the other HD runners out there and can cheer them on! The park is usually a bit colder than Lancaster and Palmdale, and it is somewhat shaded. If you are planning a long run you can just stash your water at your car and stop by every couple of laps - no need to carry water!
